Carboxytherapy
Medical CO₂ injection carboxytherapy for selected face and body indications. Aesthetic improvements have been reported in the literature, but results vary and cannot be guaranteed.
The treatment
What is
Carboxytherapy?
Carboxytherapy is a minimally invasive technique in which sterile medical carbon dioxide (CO₂) is administered intradermally or subcutaneously using a fine needle. A local increase in CO₂ produces vasodilation and changes in tissue perfusion and oxygenation. Other mechanisms, including dermal remodelling, are also being studied.
On the body, carboxytherapy has been studied in particular for improving the appearance of cellulite and certain stretch marks. Clinical studies have reported improvements, but evidence remains limited and protocols are heterogeneous. It therefore cannot be guaranteed to eliminate cellulite or stretch marks and is not a weight-loss treatment.
On the face, carboxytherapy has been studied for certain signs of skin ageing and the periocular area. Small studies have reported improvements in some aesthetic parameters.
Treatment areas and protocols are determined individually following medical assessment. The number and frequency of sessions depend on the indication, area, response to treatment and device protocol.
Pain or discomfort during injection, pressure or distension, temporary swelling, redness or bruising may occur. A prior consultation is required to assess suitability, precautions and contraindications.

How it works
The treatment
process.
Prior consultation
Before treatment, the physician assesses suitability and your medical history. Report pregnancy, current medication, particularly treatment affecting coagulation, as well as significant cardiovascular, respiratory, kidney or liver disease and any infection or lesion in the treatment area. Final contraindications are determined according to your situation and the device protocol.
Application of the treatment
After disinfection, sterile medical CO₂ is administered through a fine needle, intradermally or subcutaneously according to the indication, the facial or body area and the protocol. Temporary pressure, distension, warmth or pain may be felt. Settings are adapted by the physician to the treatment area.
Post-Procedure Care & Follow-Up
Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, local pain or bruising may occur after treatment. Duration varies between individuals. Follow the physician's instructions and contact the clinic in the event of a significant, unusual or persistent reaction.
