Liposuction (Abdominal Fat)
The treatment
What is
Liposuction (Abdominal Fat)?
Abdominal liposuction is a surgical procedure designed to remove stubborn fat deposits that cannot be sufficiently reduced through exercise and a balanced diet. Fine cannulas are inserted through small openings in the skin to gently remove excess fat cells.
This can create more balanced abdominal contours and enhance the waistline. Liposuction is not intended as a weight loss treatment and is particularly suitable for localised fat deposits in people with a stable body weight. The most suitable treatment for you will be determined during a personal consultation.
How it works
The treatment
process.
Before the treatment
Before abdominal liposuction, you will have a personal consultation and a thorough examination of the treatment area. We will discuss your goals, skin condition, any existing medical conditions and the most suitable treatment method. Please inform us about all medications you are taking. Blood thinning medication should only be adjusted after consultation with your physician.
During the treatment
At the beginning of the procedure, the treatment areas are marked and anaesthetised. The fatty tissue is then loosened through small openings in the skin and gently removed using fine cannulas. The surgeon takes particular care to create smooth and natural body contours. Depending on the extent of the procedure, liposuction is performed under local anaesthesia with light sedation or under general anaesthesia.
After the treatment
After liposuction, temporary swelling, bruising and a feeling of tightness may occur. Special compression garments support the healing process and help shape the treated area. Gentle movement is encouraged from an early stage, while exercise and strenuous physical activity should be avoided temporarily. Regular follow up appointments allow us to monitor your recovery.
