IPL and Laser Treatments?

IPL and laser treatments use targeted light pulses to gently treat a range of skin concerns. Depending on the method, they can reduce pigmentation, sun damage, redness, visible blood vessels, fine lines and uneven skin texture.

Certain laser treatments also stimulate the skin’s natural renewal process and collagen production. This can make the skin appear smoother, more even and refreshed. The most suitable technology and number of sessions are tailored to your skin type, individual concerns and desired result.

Before

Before the treatment

Before your IPL or laser treatment, you will have a personal consultation and a thorough skin analysis. We will assess your skin type, existing skin concerns and desired result. Please inform us about any medications, medical conditions and previous treatments. Intense sun exposure and self tanning products should be avoided before your appointment.

During

During the treatment

The skin is thoroughly cleansed, and you will be given suitable eye protection. Targeted light pulses are then applied to the selected areas of the skin. Depending on the method, pigmentation, redness, visible blood vessels or changes in skin texture can be treated. A cooling system or contact gel may be used to protect the skin and improve comfort during the treatment.

After

After the treatment

After the treatment, temporary redness, warmth or mild swelling may occur. Pigmented spots may initially darken before gradually fading. The skin should be treated gently and consistently protected from the sun. Exercise, sauna visits and intense heat should be avoided for around 24 to 48 hours. Additional aftercare instructions will depend on the chosen treatment method.
