The treatment

What is
Facelifting?

A facelift is a surgical procedure that tightens sagging areas of the face and improves facial contours. During the procedure, descended tissue is repositioned and excess skin is carefully removed. The cheeks, jawline and, depending on your individual needs, the neck can also be treated.

The aim of a facelift is to create a fresher and more harmonious appearance without changing your natural facial expressions or individual character. The procedure is tailored to your personal needs and expectations.

How it works

The treatment
process.

01
Before

Before the treatment

Before your facelift, you will have a personal consultation and a thorough examination of your face and skin. We will discuss your expectations, the most suitable surgical technique, any existing medical conditions and the type of anaesthesia. Please inform us about all medications you are taking. Blood thinning medication should only be adjusted after consultation with your physician. Before the procedure, you will receive personalised instructions on how to prepare.

02
During

During the treatment

A facelift is usually performed under general anaesthesia. Through carefully placed incisions along the hairline and around the ears, sagging tissue is lifted and repositioned. Excess skin is gently removed without creating an unnaturally tight appearance. Depending on your individual needs, the neck, eyelids or other areas of the face may also be treated.

03
After

After the treatment

After a facelift, swelling, bruising, a feeling of tightness and temporary changes in sensation may occur. Sleeping with your head elevated and regularly applying cool packs can support the healing process. The incisions will be carefully monitored, and the sutures will be removed at the appropriate time. During the first few weeks, you should avoid exercise, physical exertion and direct sunlight. Regular follow up appointments allow us to monitor your recovery.
