What is
Carboxytherapy?

Carboxytherapy is a minimally invasive treatment in which medical carbon dioxide, or CO₂, is precisely injected beneath the skin using a fine needle. This triggers a local tissue response that may support circulation and the body’s natural regeneration processes.

The treatment is suitable for concerns such as skin laxity, cellulite, localised fat deposits, stretch marks and scars. The aim is to achieve fresher, smoother and more even looking skin. Carboxytherapy can be used on the face and various areas of the body and can also be combined with other aesthetic treatments.

Before

Before the treatment

Before carboxytherapy, your skin condition, the desired treatment area and the intended result will be assessed. During the consultation, we will discuss any existing medical conditions, allergies and medications. On the day of treatment, the skin should be clean and free from skin care products. No special preparation is usually required.

During

During the treatment

The treatment area is cleaned and disinfected. A precisely measured amount of medical carbon dioxide is then injected beneath the skin using a fine needle. You may briefly experience pressure, warmth, tingling or a mild burning sensation. The CO₂ is absorbed by the body and then naturally eliminated through the lungs. The treatment takes around 20 to 30 minutes.

After

After the treatment

After carboxytherapy, mild redness, swelling, tenderness or minor bruising may occur. The treated areas should not be rubbed or massaged firmly at first. Light everyday activities can be resumed immediately. Further aftercare instructions depend on the treatment area and will be provided individually.
