Fat Dissolving Injections (Injection Lipolysis)?

Fat dissolving injections, medically known as injection lipolysis, are suitable for the targeted treatment of small, localised fat deposits. A specially formulated substance is injected directly into the fatty tissue, triggering a process in which the treated fat cells are gradually broken down and eliminated by the body.

Areas that can be treated include the double chin, abdomen, hips, thighs and smaller fat deposits on the back. The treatment is not intended for weight loss but is designed to improve specific body contours. In Switzerland, injection lipolysis is performed as an off label treatment following a detailed medical consultation and informed consent.

Before the treatment

Before injection lipolysis, you will have a personal consultation. We will assess the fat deposits to be treated, discuss your desired result and review any existing medical conditions, allergies and medications. Blood thinning medication should only be adjusted after consultation with your physician. A personalised treatment plan will then be created.

During

During the treatment

The treatment area is cleaned, disinfected and carefully marked. The active substance is then precisely injected into the unwanted fatty tissue using fine needles. A brief burning sensation, warmth or mild itching may occur. The area can be cooled after the treatment. The session takes approximately 40 minutes.

After

After the treatment

After the treatment, swelling, redness, tenderness and minor bruising may occur. These reactions are part of the fat reduction process and usually subside within a few days. Exercise, massages, sauna visits and solarium use should be avoided during the first three days. The body gradually breaks down the treated fat cells over the following weeks.
